Huan Du is an associated research fellow of Institute for Advanced Study, Shenzhen University, China. She is interested in the applications of mathematical modelling to biological processes, e.g.,

• application of microbial metabolic models to assess the interaction of microbial metabolic networks with the environment.

• application of mathematical models to the study of microbial community turnover in specific habitats in the ocean.

• application of discrete/continuous models to simulate microbial growth and metabolism at different scales.
